Anodized Aluminium Plates

Placing these anodized aluminium plates onto your heating palette allows you to create monoprints. Rub your solid coloured medium over the plate and watch it spread like butter. Use soft silicon tools or brushes that wont scratch the surface, to move the wax around, place paper of choice on top to absorb the design then gently peel away. Rice paper works well as it is very thin and translucent. Use as stand alone prints or collage into your encaustic painting. Plates available in various sizes or contact us for a custom size.
